Wear More Makeup

The old saying still applies; always take your make up off before bed to let your skin breathe. However, wearing a thicker layer of make up can be beneficial if you live a busy life and you are frequently exposed to air pollution, dust and radiation. Applying more make up acts as a shield by physically blocking these particles from penetrating the skin.

Black pepper and Yoghurt mix

Aloe Vera gel

Aside from the fact that they are delicious, tomatoes also help to keep the skin healthy. Rich in anti-toxins, tomatoes help prevent anti-aging, damaged cells and red skin. Applying tomatoes to the face for 20 minutes can also help with oily skin.

Beware of grains

High sugar diets are not just bad for your body but also your skin. High insulin levels caused by high sugar diets results in micro-inflammation and the release of free radicals. Skin conditions such as acne can also be aggravated. If you crave healthy skin more than sweets and chocolate, limit your intake of grains and starchy foods.

Hairbrushes aren’t just for hair

Stimulating your face with the tip of a hairbrush every morning can improve blood flow in the face. As well as dispersing cellulite, this trick can improve the texture of your skin. For best results do this for sixty seconds each morning using a clean hairbrush. If you’re a bit tickly, thirty seconds should do the trick. Warning, you may feel slightly odd doing this in front of a mirror.

Cool off

Cucumber slices are generally the go-to when dealing with puffy eyes. But truth be told, anything cold will do the trick. Whether it’s a bag of sprouts, frozen peas or one of your favourite ice lollies, it’s up to you. The coldness restricts blood vessels, which in turn reduces swelling and puffiness. There’s no need to go overboard though, for best results leave the item on for five minutes.
